My trek from Bangkok to Singapore continued as the train
crossed over into Malaysia. Unlike Thailand, some parts of rural Malaysia
reminded me of rural Alabama - similar trees, land and housing. I even saw
(though I didn't get a picture) an old car parked under a tree with the hood up
while a shade-tree mechanic tinkered under the hood
