Saturday Haiku: River Sunset
On this holiday weekend, here is a favorite from my archives...
sometimes a river
encompasses all the world
as the sun goes down

Saturday Haiku: Sunset
Here's another one from my archives
With the setting sun
comes the call for inward sight
to pierce dark corners

Saturday Haiku: Sunset Calm
My high school algebra teacher used to say, "Show me your work." So today I decided to show you my work as I tried to come up with this week's haiku:
Li River resting
in Guilin’s ancient valley
with a sunset calm
with a sunset calm
the river valley resting
from the summer heat
sunset calm
river valley rests
summer settles
summer settles
as the river rests
in sunset calm

darkness and light –
finds beauty in both

Saturday Haiku: By the Waters
With the setting sun,
light goes down on the water.
Cattails gladly rest.
