For St. Patrick's Day. Danny Boy is associated with traditional Irish songs popular among the Irish diaspora. It is set to the tune, Londonderry Air. The melody originated in County Londonderry which is now part of Northern Ireland. Other songs have been set to this tune (which some wags like to humorously refer to as "London Derriere"), but "Danny Boy" is the one most associated with it.
